Web3 is the next generation of the internet that will change how we interact with each other and our world. It’s already changing how we use technology in our daily lives. Moreover, it’s only going to continue to grow.

I’ve gathered the 5 most important aspects as to why we should start optimizing our content and strategies with a focus on how technologies will be developing in the future.

Quantum Computing

In the future, quantum computers will be able to solve complex mathematical equations much faster than traditional computers. This means that companies will be able to do more complex calculations at a fraction of the cost.

This is great news for any analytics-driven business nowadays. If you have a website, you could easily measure its success in a matter of seconds, and that would come at a price that is way cheaper than the amounts we аre paying today.

This would be because of the elimination of very important middle-man corporations, such as Google and Facebook, which we know take enormous commissions from content creators for every earning they make.

Machine Learning

Machine learning is a type of artificial intelligence (AI) that allows machines to learn without being explicitly programmed. It uses algorithms to make predictions based on data. AI is different because it requires explicit programming.

With time, the personalization of any content suggested for any user will become more complex. It will follow patterns, based on previous purchase trends, search history, and so on.

This function will give us more accurate data on what our audience likes, what their habits are, and what we can do with the product we’re marketing to meet their needs.

The Internet of Things (IoT)

The IoT is an emerging trend where everyday objects are connected to the internet. This includes everything from refrigerators to cars to toothbrushes. These devices collect data and send it back to the cloud, where it can be analyzed by machine learning systems.

Web3 technologies aim to reach that technological stage where everything is connected. When regulated and executed carefully, combined with our daily routines will become even more seamless.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

AI and ML are two technologies that are revolutionizing how we interact with our world. We use them in every industry, from healthcare to retail to manufacturing. In fact, these technologies are so powerful that they are starting to replace human workers.

Today, there are several programs, such as Apple’s Siri, and Amazon’s Alexa, that are getting closer and closer to becoming what we’ve been expecting from Web3. Human-like interactions with them will become something normal in our everyday life.

Virtual Reality (VR)

VR is an immersive virtual reality environment. There, users can see, hear, touch, smell, taste, and move through a computer-generated world. It allows people to immerse themselves in a simulated environment without leaving their homes. This new technology is “the next big thing” according to some experts.

We’ve all seen what today’s technologies are already giving us a taste of what virtual reality and the metaverse can bring us.

As a marketer, imagine being able to place ads within virtual spaces. Thanks to NFTs, which are the future of monetization for online creators, this would be possible.

But what about privacy?

And, now, I know what you think. We’ve previously talked about how in our experience, having our personal information collected was not the safest thing on the internet. On Web3 this would not be an issue, as the main goal of the development of blockchain ecosystems is anonymity. You can still have your personalized suggestions AND own your data. Soon you will be able to decide whom you share your entire online presence with.

This is something that would be possible in the Internet Computer ecosystem.

There are many different IC dapps currently developing, which users can access through one single registration, called Internet Identity.

What is Internet Identity?

“Internet Identity is an anonymous blockchain authentication framework on the Internet Computer. Users can create identity “anchors” to which they assign compatible cryptographically enabled devices. Like the fingerprint sensor on a laptop. Thereafter, they can signup and authenticate to any dapp running on the Internet Computer. They can use any of the devices they have assigned to their anchor. This will provide a high level of convenience, and will alow users to authenticate to dapps they like with a very low level of friction. This prevents mistakes and the theft of their key material. The system is anonymizing towards dapps, and whenever an anchor we use to interact with a dapp. The dapp sees a specially generated pseudonym. It will prevent users from tracking across the various dapps they use. A user can create as many identity anchors as they wish.”

All of this, and more, is currently developing on the Internet Computer.

In Conclusion…

My advice for all current and upcoming businesses that would like to use innovation as a strategy to popularise their brands on the internet is simple. It is to get on the Web3 bandwagon as soon as possible.

You can create your Internet Identity here.

Start building your first IC website or take a look at the already existing IC social media dapps that offer fair monetization, storage, and license for your intellectual property as a creator or brand.
